The firm lineage dates back to 2000 when Steven founded Brown Dog Designs.  In 2012, with his eventual Architecture and General Contracting licensure, he founded A408 Studio as both a Design-Build Architecture firm and General Contractor.  In 2016 Steven closed A408 to focus on Architecture only, and Steven Johnson Architect PLLC  (SJA) was born. In early 2023 Steven, brought on Elizabeth Lufbery as his Lead Interiors and Residential Designer.  Steven closed SJA in late 2023 to pursue interests with other Architecture opportunities and is now referring all clients to Elizabeth as she continues Steven's vision of high quality, design-first residential Architecture with LINEA, the future of residential design solutions.
